ONG&ONG have designed the Bedok Integrated Complex, which houses many functions under one roof. They have put forth their design for a seven-storey complex as part of an initiative to revitalise the Bedok town centre. The vision is to create a centre which integrates vital community services and environmental progression. Around the perimeter of every floor, lush greenery drapes the building, adding an element of nature. Rainwater is harvested, and the façade’s glazing is tapered to follow solar angles to shield the interior from the sun´s hot rays, all contributing to the building´s sustainable credentials. The complex is to be completed in 2017.
