Palatial living

Inner Space creates personalized spaces in this home with fine materials and design sensibilities for a regal experience.
Royal look and modern feel are the sentiments that combine forces for the interior design of this Indore-based real estate honcho´s home. Designed by the team at Inner Space, the interiors of this palatial house spell royalty with a modern twist.

Opulent design
You feel the grandeur of things to come right at the entrance, which flaunts a 10-feet high main door. The entrance foyer show¡cases marble in two different colours that lend it royal look, which is aptly complemented by a crystal chandelier hanging from the high ceiling.

The spaces within the house are designed around the 3,000 sq ft atrium that has a stunning Murano chandelier enhancing its opulence. The flooring in the atrium is a combination of beige marble with Satuorio in the centre, which is exactly the size of the skylight above. The 25-feet high columns of the atrium are clad in beige travertine and lit from below. The bifurcated staircase with glass railing adds another dimension to the interiors from here on.

Inner sanctum
The master bedroom exudes a feeling of class with its full-length, American style curtains, and with champagne leafing details on the white walls and ceiling. A partition divides the walk-in wardrobe from the bedroom, which is adorned with back-painted glass and a super imposed mirror on top.

Speaking about the challenges faced, Ajay Sharma, Principal Designer, InnerSpace, says, ´Every space needed to be filled and balanced considering utilities of that particular area along with aesthetics.´ For the son´s room, the designers used Perlato Sicilia Italian marble on the floor along with a portion covered in engineered wood flooring for an edgy look. A seating area was created with a backdrop of marble finished wall texture. The highlight of the room is a reading lamp that resembles a human figure. Irish brown and ocean travertine marble is used in the bathroom that overlooks the bedroom.

The bedroom in hot pink belongs to the daughter of the house. The lotus petal shaped headboard and wooden flooring used to neutralise the bright pink tone are the key highlights here.

The parent´s room has a bed with rounded edges in high gloss PU finish and a chesterfield headboard. The legs of the bed and the console have an interesting shape in gold leafing that adds a classical touch to the decor. Champagne leafing details are seen on the ceiling, too.

Distinct touch
A unique space in this home is the entertainment room that can turn into a discotheque. A glass dance floor with custom installed club sound, neon paintings and a cosy seating makes it an ideal space for small in-house Parties and gatherings as well as a chill out zone for the young inhabitants of the house. A collage of backlit mirrors on one of the walls makes the space look bigger while the reflections add an element of interest.

The living room has two different seating areas in an earthen colour combination with dark hued throw-away cushions. The ceiling has dark floral grooves, while the flower wallpaper on the window wall adds to the warm appeal of this room. The drawing room, too, has two identical formal seating areas in white. The ceiling has laser cut floral design with defused lighting to create a cosy ambience. Automation by Hunter Douglas adds to the experience of the room.

With a fusion of styles in its structure comprising a high sloping roof, square columns clad in travertine and a grand entrance, this home spells class and style.
