Whether or not you are a fan of cricket or bus journeys, this chair by Design by Leftovers is sure to impress you.
Swedish designers Linda and Jona Netsman offer a totally different take on the bus journeys India is known for. The designers are in love with the buses that trundle from one end of India to the other, with their once fruit salad colours now bleached by years of relentless sun. Even these faded colours lend a sharp contrast to the immaculately groomed cricket fields that are seen throughout the country-islands of green dotted with flocks of gulls and players in their whites, where the crisp ´thwack´ of leather on willow seems to swirl through the steaming air. This contrast is replicated in these chairs. Christened India 1 and India 2, the chairs are made out of old furniture, renovated from scratch.
The wood is airbrushed and the chairs are upholstered in white leather. A fantastic example of how imagination thrives on inspiration!
