Futuristic building in Delhi
A cluster of connected timber towers - or a ´vertical village´ called Hyperions, a futuristic sustainable architecture design by Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut is coming up in Jaypee Sports City development in Greater Noida, near New Delhi.

Kerala museum to undergo restoration
The Napier Museum, located in the heart of the Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram, one of the India´s oldest museums is going to undergo restoration. An all India tender will be announced once the report is ready.

Special committee for earthquake prone regions
A special committee will soon be constituted to carry out a safety audit of all buildings in Noida and Greater Noida as the entire region lies in the very sensitive seismic zone 4. The special committee will inspect all buildings in the twin cities to determine whether they are earthquake resistant or not.

Gandhi Bhawan´s conservation plan
The J Paul Getty Foundation, US, recently awarded a grant of $1,80,000 for the preparation of a conservation plan for Gandhi Bhawan at Punjab University in Chandigarh. The grant has been provided as part of a philanthropic initiative by the Getty Foundation and is the first ever grant in the country for a modern building.
