Anchor Electricals´ new showroom makes a strong pitch for LED lights.
With the opening of Anchor Electricals´ first state-of-the-art LED lighting showroom in Mumbai, the city of lights just got another reason to glow a little brighter. The showroom focuses on high quality, safe and reliable products catering to residential LED lighting, and also offers its clients several value-added services that set it apart from other run-of-the-mill lighting showrooms.
Anchor Electricals, now a subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation, offers in its latest store exclusive lighting plan services for the residential sector. This service is already operational in Japan through Panasonic, under which over two lakh residential lighting plans are drawn annually. Following the same concept here, the service will help create lighting designs tailored to individual clients, working with their interior design requirements. Through this, the company promotes sophisticated lighting environments with products that are specifically designed for residential, hospitality, and architectural purposes.
The store also has an in-house simulation room through which it aims to bridge the awareness and experience gap that exists in the minds of lighting experts and users. This facility enables customers to actually view the lighting effects of the various kinds of fixtures and installation options in different settings, allowing him to visualise and choose among the various options available. It also gives customers an idea of how integrated lighting solutions work in a given environment. The 47 new models that will be available at the showroom include the Large Ceiling Light, Compact Ceiling Light, Chandelling (chandelier-like decora¡tive ceiling light), Down-light, Line Light and Wall bracket models.
Expanding Market presence
With this store, Anchor Electricals and Panasonic Corporation (Anchor merged with Panasonic in 2007) take yet another step to expand their presence in India, a market that Panasonic views as one of the most important and strategic market globally. As India grapples with challenges related to energy deficiency, it is estimated that more and more people would turn to LED lighting, given its effectiveness in saving energy and reducing pollution. For example, a Panasonic 5.5W LED down light source consumes less than 2.5 times of power than a 14W CFL lamp light source and has over 6.5 times longer life - an argument for LED that is sure to impress the value-conscious Indian consumer.
The new store is in synch with this potentially strong shift towards LED lighting, and is offering integrated product and planning services to optimise client satisfaction. Talk of being in the right place at the right time, with the right product too!
