The CWAB Awards were applauded as much for the process, theme, our fabulous winners who were there in full strength, as they were for the content. The platforms uniqueness in felicitating both architects and builders drew admiration and allowed for real industry dialogue to ensue.
Enthused and motivated, this issue responds with a special vibe. Pritzker Laureate Shigeru Ban´s project, the Aspen Museum is stunning. Surrounded and inspired by ski mountains, the building with its woven facade and descending concept allows both, those within and those looking in, to appreciate and enjoy the architecture. Another trendsetting project is the SDM house by Mexican Architects Arquitectura en Movimiento Workshop where a sculptural staircase is the central element of the house and influences the entire design. It´s inviting, undulating shape almost makes you want to slide down the banister. Inspired by the staircase, we´ve explored many more - across projects - designed by architects both in India and abroad.
