Trendy fusion

Aditya Gupta's venture, The Furniture Republic, opens up two new stores in Delhi that retail an exquisite range of furniture and home accessories.

The Furniture Republic, the exclusive store for furniture and home accessories, has recently launched two new stores at MG road and Chattarpur road in Delhi. Both stores sprawl over more than15,000 sq ft and offer an interesting mix of traditional, modern and fusion d├ęcor and accessory options. "Furniture shopping is an extension of the person's individuality," believes Aditya Gupta, Co-founder, The Furniture Republic.

Both the new stores bear distinctive designs. The MG road store has a rustic look. Designed with unique old railway wood and refractory bricks used inside boilers, the store exhibits hand-painted walls in the basement and a central stage area. A ceiling feature makes the store look exceptionally beautiful.

The Chattarpur store, on the other hand, is inspired by scenes from Indian streets. The ceiling is made of suspended fabric kites, which are used to bounce diffused light through the space to create a subtle drama. The theatrical feel is enhanced by the lighting. Wide and narrow spots are used to accentuate the objects on display. The Chattarpur store has a collection of one-of-its-kind old pieces sourced from Rajasthan, Gujarat and South India, while the MG road store presents avant garde furniture from Europe and Australia.

So whether one is looking for traditional, contemporary or eclectic furniture, the new Furniture Republic stores are a must-visit destination on the shopping itinerary!
