Art Shows

A trained kathak dancer and an expert in visual effects, Bani Pershad´s Words Unspoken is a collection of paintings that are all about fluidity of emotion and visual vibrancy. The exhibition is curated by Geeti Sen and shown at Open Palm Court, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, from 29th October to 1st November, 2015.

Soul Searching, a solo paintings and drawings exhibition by Vibha Maurya, portrays the feminine energy of Shakti and the different moods of female protagonists, their feelings, emotions and tensions. It is exhibited at All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society, New Delhi, from 28th September to 3rd October, 2015.

Sh+½nya is an art exhibition by textile artist Neha Puri Dhar. Neha is inspired by shunya that implies nullness as it represents endless possibilities and depicts the philosophy of fullness through the symbolic circle. The exhibition is at Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, from 4th to 10th October, 2015.

Contemporary artist Camellia Suman has created impactful artwork to support the idea of women empowerment as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi´s ´Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao´ campaign. He has used the rare art form Dhokra to decorate the 20-feet high sculpture of Goddess Durga near Pragati Club. The exhibit days are 18th and 19th October, 2015.
