Sugarcane fields to be converted into a luxury resort
Queenland’s vast sugarcane fields in Australia are to be converted into a luxury resort! Shockingly, the QLD Government has invited the common public to comment on the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed $8.15 billion Aquis Resort at Yorkey’s Knob near Cairns, Australia. The people will be granted access to an innovative online consultation tool - ‘Citizen Space’, which will enable them to navigate through the EIS and give their feedback on the project, which is planned over a span of 343 hectares, most of which is currently used for growing sugar cane.
